Year 9 Service Week
Our Year 9 students wrap up an unforgettable Rite Journey Service Week, filled with generosity, spirit, and icy courage.Ice-Cold Courage for Cancer
Kicking off with their “Ice Cold Courage for Cancer” fundraiser, students and staff plunged into an ice-cold pool much to the entertainment of classes who came out to watch the freezing fun. Year 9’s fundraising efforts included a student auction, profits from the Like a Bo$$ Winter Stall, Bake Sale and Sausage Sizzle which combined with online donations easily reached the benchmark needed for new Principal, Mr Brad Moss to take the plunge (in full costume, no less!). An astounding collective effort raised $3,477.80 for the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund, surpassing their original fundraising target of $500.
Throughout the many Service activities, Year 9 showed leadership, heart, and a whole lot of grit. As they finished the week, we know one thing for sure - this cohort has made a difference and learnt a lot about the value of helping others, living out our values of service and compassion.

Acts of Service
Another big day was spent offsite. They rolled up their sleeves offsite and planted 1,600 natives at Ryans Lagoon working with Parklands Albury Wodonga.
Time was spent spreading joy through Random Acts of Kindness at Victory. Their initiatives included helping in Primary classrooms, brewing complimentary coffee for staff, making jewellery and working alongside the Maintenance Team. Students were also out and about across Albury Wodonga, performing street cleanups and giving surprise high-fives to pedestrians.
Students also created many care hampers for Betty’s Place, filled with everyday necessities for women and children affected by domestic violence. These donations offering some practical support, comfort and kindness. Thank you to our generous community for your incredible donations - they made this meaningful project possible.
Students visited Albury and Wodonga Pet Rescue centres to provide much needed care and affection to abandoned or lost lonely cats and dogs.
